If Progress has Stalled

Have you reevaluated your daily habits lately? No? Well today is a great day to do this! Over the Pandemic I lost track, then bad food & movement habits snuck back in. I started gaining again. What was my clue? Swelling in my feet. My first thought was, "I'm sitting too much!" Then I got on the scale.... 365 pounds?! In my head that one guy's tag line on YouTube ran in my brain. "Hold on! Wait a minute. Something ain't right!"

I went right to action, what I am doing is not working. I sat down with my wife & after much prayer & research I decided I need a structured meal plan that will retrain my brain in regards to the way I think about & see food. I also need a fitness routine that works for me. If you find a healthy routine that works for you, stick with it!

The mistake I made was taking advice from people who have never read the words, "Morbidly Obese" on their medical records. If I even just walk past a pizza shop & snif the air, I gain 5 pounds. Food is my addiction. I can't just have one slice of pizza, I need all of the pizza! It's the same with cookies. I can't just have one, I want them all! What was the bad advice you ask? "Oh you can surely just have one!" "Oh everyone needs a cheat day!" "You can eat whatever you want just as long as you exercise!" For me, all of those comments are not true & because I listened, and let that get in my brain, it has set me back.

After a few weeks of a successful reevaluation I am back on track. I know that without a doubt, if I stay true to the plan, I will continue to consistently lose weight till I reach my current goal of 225 pounds. So find a meal & exercise routine that will work for you. Stck with it & don't deviate from that plan for anyone or anything. Better health is your ultimate goal. Be sure to have a support system that believes in you & will encourage you. If you don't have one, I highly suggest DDPYOGA. Not only is it a great fitness program, but the community is extremely helpful & encouraging. You are never alone! I am right here with you. I hope you have a fantastic week! You got this! Time to rock!
